1. Terms and Conditions
a. These are the terms and conditions for the making of bookings and visiting Dam Crazy Camping.
b. In these terms and conditions, “we” “us” or “our” is a reference to Dam Crazy Camping ABN 57 357 382 276, and “you” “your” is a reference to any guest, visitor or other person making a booking or entering the Campground and includes all people in a group booking.
c. By making a booking, whether via our online Booking system or by contacting us directly, and when you enter the Campground, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
d. We may update these terms and conditions at any time. Posting of new or updated terms and conditions to our website, or by delivery to you whilst entering or at the Campground, amounts to notice of the new rules which apply immediately from that time.
e. These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Campground Rules See clause 5 below regarding the Campground Rules.
2. Bookings and Payment
a. We will so our best to accommodate your requested site, however on some occasions we may need to locate you to another site.
b. Payment in full is required to secure the booking and a booking is not taken to be confirmed until full payment has been received in cleared funds and a booking confirmation has been provided, either through our booking system or by us in writing.
c. Group bookings of 10 or more people for peak periods require payment in full by cleared funds within 3 weeks of commencement of stay.
d. Site availability is subject to change, and we may restrict site availability in certain circumstances including for the purpose of site regeneration.
e. We may restrict guest numbers at the Campground at any time and for any reason.
f. All guests must respect check-in and checkout times and entry requirements outlined in the Campground Rules.
g. Daily visitors’ fees apply for guests not staying overnight that wish to use the facilities.
h. “Peak Periods” are long weekends, public holidays, school holidays and Easter and Christmas periods.
i. Peak Periods are subject to a minimum charge of 2 nights per person.
j. Guests must be 18+ years old to make bookings.
k. You agree to sign our Waiver and Release given to you upon arrival.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
a. If you become entitled to a refund or credit for your booking (as outlined below) we reserve the right to give you a refund or a credit note for a future booking.
b. All cancellations must be made in writing to us via our contact details.
c. If you cancel a booking, you will be entitled to the following refund or credit note for the booking charges you have paid:
d. No refund or credit note applies to no-shows or early departures.
e. The weather is out of our control, no refunds or credit notes apply for weather events unless we deem it unsafe to have guests onsite which would result in closure of the campground.
f. No refunds or credit notes apply to guests required to leave the Campground due to breach of these terms and conditions, including the Campground Rules.
g. Due to limited numbers, bookings require 7 days’ notice of cancellation, and you will be entitled to a full refund, or a credit note less a $10.00 administration fee. If cancellation is within 7 days of commencement of stay no refund or credit note applies.
h. Group bookings of 10 people or more during peak periods require 3 weeks’ notice of cancellation, and you will be entitled to a full refund less a $10.00 administration fee. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of commencement of stay no refund or credit note applies.
i. Credit note cannot be used during “peak periods” and must be used within six-months of issue date.
4. Campground Rules
The Campground Rules form part of these terms and conditions and any breach of the Campground Rules is a breach of these terms and conditions. Without limiting our rights against individuals, the person making a booking is liable for any breach of the Campground Rules by all guests in the booking and any visitors of the booking party: You are in breach of any other provisions of these terms and conditions or the Campground Rules; we may require you and your others under your booking to leave immediately, with or without written notice.
1. Checking In/Out: Check in time is 11am and check out time is 10am, if you require a later check out time, please contact us to discuss.
2. Swimming: Is allowed around the pontoon area only, do not assume it is safe to jump in, the dam changes with seasons. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times, pool noodles and life jackets are available in the boat shed. The kayaks are also available for you to use, please be respectful with them and return all equipment after you have finished so that others may use them.
3. Campfires: Do not put anything in our firepits other than wood, only limited firepits are available and are not to be moved, please notify us if you require one and we will do our best to accommodate. You may bring your own fire pit, but it must not burn the grass! Please use buckets provided for disposal of ashes. All fires must be extinguished before leaving unattended, please be aware fire bans may be in place at certain times. Chainsaws are not permitted, and we do not allow fires on the ground.
4. Pets: Pets are welcome but must be always cleaned up after. Dogs must also be contained or on-leash in the campsite area and refrained from barking in respect of other campers. Dogs may be off leash along the walking tracks and for swimming in the dam these areas will be pointed out to you upon arrival. Do not leave your dog unattended at any time and owners are responsible for any damage caused by dog(s) to any persons or other animals on the property. Any aggressive behaviour shown will not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave the property. Maximum 2 dogs per group.
5. Noise: Most people come here to relax and enjoy the quite so please be respectful of this, sound travels at night, so late night gatherings around the campfire need to be toned down. The time we think you need to start being quiet is 9.30pm.
6. Toilets: Our toilets are available for you to use they are a septic tank please do not flush and wipes, nappies etc. If you use your own dump points are available in Childers at the RV parking and at Biggenden.
7. Generators: Are allowed between 11am and 2pm only please, please be considerate of other campers.
8. Water: We rely only on rainwater, no potable water is available so please bring your own drinking water, top up water is available only for stays of 3 days or more.
9. Visitors: You must notify us if you would like any visitors, visitors must park up by the toilets and leave by 5pm, they must also stay in your camp area, but should they wish to use any of the facilities (other than the toilets) they will need to book a day stay. (Contact us)
10. Motorbikes, Quads and Motorboats are not permitted on the property.
11. General: Campsite site are to be left clean and tidy and ALL rubbish and firewood taken off the property. Speed limit around the campground is 10km per hour at all times and please stick to the roads. Firearms and weapons are not permitted, we have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination, intoxicated, disorderly, abusive, or aggressive behaviour at Dam Crazy Camping, you will be asked to leave.
12. Emergency: In the event of an emergency the assembly area is around the Boat House by the jetty, emergency numbers are provided upon arrival.
