Make Dam Crazy your next destination!

In April 2025, Jimmy and I, Tracie, purchased Dam Crazy along with our youngest daughter, Sophie—who you may see getting around the property on one of her showjumping horses if you come to visit us.

We had been neighbours of Dam Crazy and absolutely loved the place, so when the opportunity arose, we decided to purchase it.

Originally from Roma, Queensland, we moved next door in 2022, where we currently run 100 Droughtmaster cows and calves.

A magnificent 400 megalitre dam that now forms part of the natural landscape of this unique property. A hidden gem in the Wide Bay area of Queensland where relaxation,  peace and privacy are unavoidable as are the sunsets and shooting stars in the clear skies above. 

The dam hosts a diverse range of wildlife; several species of fish, frogs and turtles also many different varieties of birds and native wildlife  that frequently visit.

Kayaks are available free of charge for you to use and explore the dam or if you fancy a swim, jump in off the jetty and cool off for the day or float quietly in the water and enjoy watching the wildlife.  

For the bird watcher enthusiasts, 126 different species have been found so far at Dam Crazy including the rare Powerfull Owl, please check out our photo gallery on our bookings page for some of the beautiful birds found around the dam.

The property is totally private, the drive into the property is 1km long so caravans are safe and secure and cannot been seen from the road, the owners live on the property and only booked guests are to enter the property offering security and peace of mind. 

Dam Crazy promises a warm welcome where you can kickback, sit around the campfire, unwind and get back in-touch with the best nature has to offer.

Dam Crazy is pet friendly, dogs must be cleaned up after and may be walked off leash on the walking trails (please be mindful of other campers, farm animals and wildlife), they may also swim in the dam at the designated area but must be contained or kept on leash at all times in the campsite areas. Two flushing toilets are provided but no showers at this stage.

Kayaks are available for use.

Cell phone reception is very good.

No rubbish collection, please take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
